In The Spirit of Music Videos: A Slow Dance

After such a rock ‘n roll music video from last week, we’d like to slow things down a bit, maybe dim the lights, add a disco ball and put on our dancing shoes. For this edition of “In the Spirit” of Music Videos we’re featuring “Tender Love” by Swan Dive. This melodic and playful music video features a cast of characters both human and not. May we have this dance?
About the music video:
Historic New Harmony is the site of two of America's great utopian communities and the backdrop for a .00 music video I directed for the group Swan Dive.
Living in Nashville, I borrowed a mcrophone that was invented by the bass player for the Polyphonic Spree... I just liked the way it fit in with the Labyrinth and the dolls came from ebay. Helen, Bill's girlfriend who appears at the end of the video, is a clothing designer and she made our doll clothes.

The song was co written by Bill Demain, of Swan Dive, and Jill Sobule.
