In The Spirit of Music Videos: Puppet Master

One thing we've learned while on the Music Video road is that there is no replacement for talent. We love this installment of 'In The Spirit' of Music Videos because of the genius of the premise. 'Such a Shame' is by Uniformed Motion but the music video is by Uniformed Motion Pictures, a “a multimedia internet series created by musician Uniform Motion, illustrator Reuno, with the support of fellow musician, Trevor O’Neil, CDM Studio, and young filmmaker, Soline Rampillon.”
The fun cardboard illustrations, mini musical equipment and visible ‘puppet strings’ make this a music video clearly demonstrating all that we hold dear at Music Videos.
About the music video:
This is a video we shot in one afternoon (it was a Sunday afternoon).
And then edited about a week later (on a Sunday afternoon!)
Our project is actually a collaboration between a band (Uniform Motion) and various different filmmakers, and an illustrator. We launched Uniform-Motion-Pictures.com in June 2008. Every two or three weeks, we would release a new song, accompanied by a video and a comic strip.
Music by Uniform Motion
Shot by Lucille Estivalet and Renaud Forestié
Edited by Lucille Estivalet
Renaud Forestié, Andrew Richards, Trevor O'Neil-Walsh and various cartoon characters appear in the clip too
